To help authors' research findings reach a wider audience, since 2022, all accepted articles in Chin Med Sci J have been published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) license in an open access model. Authors retain the copyright of their articles and grant the Chin Med Sci J exclusive rights to publish and distribute the articles, as well as the rights to translate and promote them through various media. Once publication online and in print, articles full text can be immediately accessible to readers worldwide for reading, downloading, copying, disseminating, translating, and adapting for non-commercial purposes.

 The corresponding author must sign the Open Access Publication License Agreement on behalf of all authors at submission and upload a scanned copy to the submission system. If the manuscript is accepted, the authors should pay an article processing charge (APC) of 5000 RMB or 850 USD per article.The journal does not provide remuneration to the authors excepting who are commissioned.

 Authors may apply for a fee waiver for special circumstances. The editorial office will handle such requests on a case-by-case basis. All published articles represent the views of the authors and not the position of the journal's editors or the journal's sponsoring organization.
