Panscleritis After Blunt Ocular Trauma in A Child with Epididymitis
“In a groundbreaking case study, an 8-year-old boy with panscleritis in the left eye and right epididymitis was successfully treated. The etiologic diagnosis was key, as it revealed the scleritis was non-infectious, caused by a local delayed-type hypersensitivity induced by ocular trauma, while the epididymitis was infectious. Early etiologic diagnosis and targeted treatment with steroids and antibiotics were crucial to prevent visual loss.”
