“Typhoidal Cells” Appear in a Woman with Hemophagocytic Syndrome Secondary To Brucellosis: A Case Report
“In a groundbreaking study, researchers have discovered typhoidal cells in bone marrow samples from a patient with hemophagocytic syndrome caused by brucellosis. This finding indicates that typhoidal cells are not exclusive to Salmonella typhi infections but can also be present in other bacterial infections, offering a rapid method to identify bacterial infections before bone marrow and blood culture results are available.”
